Day 1 Lake Challa
Lake Chala, also known as Lake Challa, is a crater lake that straddles the border between Kenya and Tanzania. The lake formed approximately 250,000 years ago. The lake is east of Mount Kilimanjaro, 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) north of Taveta, Kenya, and 55 kilometers (34 mi) east of Rombo District.
A crater lake in a caldera form with beautiful sight of green-blue color water, the entirely water is formed from the underground spring from Mount Kilimanjaro. Lake Chala is surrounded by ancient rock and variety of green vegetation such as long grass and trees. Going down to the shore of the lake is a depth of 100m you will only need to have nice shoes for hiking to avoid sleepy. Lake Chala has variety of singing birds which will make you to not forget the amazing place
